Secret Garden Party after a night of heavy rain.

 photo CNV00082.jpg

Over the weekend I've watched live stream from Glastonbury on TV, and I've listened to a few of the concerts on the radio. Sadly, this has given me really bad festival fever, and I'm dying to go to one! I've got tickets to Barclaycard British Summer Time on Friday, where among others I'll be seeing Black Sabbath, Motörhead and Wolfmother, and I'm so excited I feel a tiny bit sick just thinking about it.

That said, I would really like to go to a proper festival, stay in a tent, and then regret staying in a tent, get a cold, the usual. Here's a few shots I managed to snap at Secret Garden Party 2013, between sliding down muddy hills and helter skelters, and dancing barefoot in the grass to reggae and ska with my boyfriend.

My first ever Helter Skelter, worth every single penny of the four pounds my boyfriend had to pay, just so I could slide down with my hands in the air screaming and laughing with excitement.

The Strypes - mindblowingly good live band, who's members at the time were between 16 and 18 years old, mental!

While sorting through my stuff earlier this morning, I came across a disposable camera I can't even remember using. Needless to say, I ran off to Boots to get them developed. It turns out it's from when I went to Oslo in December with my friends Katrine and Zahra, to see Queens of The Stone Age (which obviously was absolutely incredible!) Anyway, most of the pictures were far too dark, blurry, or with my finger in front of the lens, but here's a few of my favourites, from the Opera, a christmas market, and Vigelandsparken. I had almost forgotten how cold and dark winter is, especially in Norway.

To celebrate the start of my seven week long summer holiday, we threw a summer/late housewarming party. I saw loads of friends I haven't seen in ages, had popcorn with cheese and got flowers and cupcakes. One of those great summer nights, that I hope I'll have many more of these next two months.

Yesterday was lovely and sunny, so after having walked to Camden from Waterloo after work, I felt far too lazy to cook, so I asked my darling to come out for dinner. (Fifth night in a row for me..) We ended up at Aces and Eights for pizza and drinks, and The Ramones playing on the jukebox. I've got a feeling I'll end up spending far too much money on this jukebox, as it's got several of my favourite on bands there, but obviously it's oh-so worth it.

Now on the other hand, I'm blogging from the kitchen counter and listening to David Bowie, while making a thai green quinoa curry, and waiting for some washing to finish. I'm awarding myself ten housewife points for this, obviously.

Visual Diary: London

I've had the loveliest weekend with my dad, who told me two weeks ago he'd fly across the pond to come and see me. There's been a lot of food, and I mean A LOT. Two tall norwegian giants eating like champions, and every meal followed by cake or ice cream. Or potentially both...

Guess who just got back today? My Pappa! I was lucky enough to skip my lunch and get to leave work a tiny bit earlier today, as my dad arrived in London this morning. We had a lovely time walking around Soho and central London, with a stop at Uni Qlo where he picked up some dad essentials - socks, a t-shirt, and a shirt. After that we headed down towards Covent Garden, and had the most delicious mexican food at Pacifico. I really can't recommend the place enough, the food is divine!

I snapped this in a zebra crossing near Trafalgar Square last night around 3am. I'm not going to pretend it's an incredible picture, but I think it turned out really cool. But then I love everything black and white, no matter how simple it is. Today I decided to go for a walk, and came back home with two piercings in my ear, and a russian gasmask. The gasmask isn't for me though, but for my ten year old gun/knife/army loving brother. So I'm guessing this'll go down pretty well, and that it'll give me loads of big sister points.
