ROBERT PLANT @ ITUNES FESTIVAL
Last year (on my birthday to be exact), I was one of the lucky winners to get tickets to see Queens of The Stone Age at the iTunes Festival at Camden's Roundhouse. For those of you who haven't heard of this festival; The festival is arranged by, you guessed it, iTunes. There is a gig on every night through out all of September, where you compete to win tickets. Early Monday afternoon, I got a message from my boyfriend saying he had won two tickets to see Robert Plant later that same day. Robert Plant, living legend. I had already seen him once before in 2007, and it was absolutely incredible. Somehow he was even better this time - although I didn't think that was possible. He's got so much charisma, and his back up band was brilliant. They played five Led Zeppelin songs, "Babe I'm gonna leave you", "Black dog", "Going to California", "No quarter" and "Whole lotta love" a few covers, and some of his new stuff. Needless to say, an extraordinary night with an extraordinary man. I'm pretty sure Led Zeppelin must have been one of the best bands in the history of time.
