Scrolling through my iphoto library, I came across this picture, taken two years ago. At the time I was working at Monki in Carnaby Street, and one of my colleagues were going to New York for a couple of months. Despite the fact that we were all insanely jealous, we went out for leaving drinks in Soho before we said our goodbyes - sigh. Anyway, change of subject; I'm getting some serious hair envy looking at my 2012 self, long auburn hair, compared to my current blonde messy bob or whatever I can call it. I guess you always want what you can't get, so I'll stick with what I've got. For now..

As a belated birthday present, my friend Zahra took me for afternoon tea at The Connaught in Mayfair. We had tea, champagne, sandwiches, eight types of cake, and scones with clotted cream and jam. Being the birthday girl, I got an extra piece of cake with a candle, and "Happy birthday" written in chocolate on the plate - just in case I was still standing after eating my own body weight in all the lovely treats mentioned above. After finishing our feast there, I decided to walk back to Camden, as I couldn't bare the idea of getting on a tube or bus, potentially ending up asleep in a food coma.

Last year (on my birthday to be exact), I was one of the lucky winners to get tickets to see Queens of The Stone Age at the iTunes Festival at Camden's Roundhouse. For those of you who haven't heard of this festival; The festival is arranged by, you guessed it, iTunes. There is a gig on every night through out all of September, where you compete to win tickets. Early Monday afternoon, I got a message from my boyfriend saying he had won two tickets to see Robert Plant later that same day. Robert Plant, living legend. I had already seen him once before in 2007, and it was absolutely incredible. Somehow he was even better this time - although I didn't think that was possible. He's got so much charisma, and his back up band was brilliant. They played five Led Zeppelin songs, "Babe I'm gonna leave you", "Black dog", "Going to California", "No quarter" and "Whole lotta love" a few covers, and some of his new stuff. Needless to say, an extraordinary night with an extraordinary man. I'm pretty sure Led Zeppelin must have been one of the best bands in the history of time.

I turned 24 yesterday, and my best friend Katrine (mentioned in the post below) flew in from Norway on Friday night to suprise me. We started the day/morning with bucks fizz and ended up going to Aces & Eights in the evening, which is where I end up most nights out. We had a few drinks before we headed back to Camden, with a pit stop at some greasy corner shop for a delicious steak baguette. I've got quite alot of pictures, and even films, so I'll put them up as soon as I've gone through them.
